Maybe it was Post Malone in 2016, or The Fugees in 1996, or Twenty One Pilots in 2013 at the Granada Theater in Lawrence. Perhaps you caught the Foo Fighters, Death Cab For Cutie, or The Roots, Odesza or 311 at the Bottleneck in Lawrence Kansas. No matter what, we all instantly can name a show at the Bottleneck and the Granada that changed our lives.

Independent venues across the country, were the beginning of many current superstars careers, now these live music venues need your help.

We Need Your Help To Save our live music institutions The Bottleneck and The Granada

Thank you for your ongoing support of The Bottleneck and the Granada.

Together with you we have played a role in bringing Lawrence Kansas to life and furthering the careers of countless artists. Whether it was Radiohead, Burning Spear, or Slipknot at the Bottleneck, The Killers, Florida Georgia Line, Marilyn Manson or the Yeah Yeah Yeahs at the Granada, you saw it first downtown in Lawrence Kansas. Now independent venues like ours are at risk, and we need you to tell our Senators and Representatives how important The Bottleneck and The Granada are to you and your community of Lawrence Kansas.

When this crisis began, independent music venues were the first to close, and we will be the last to open. While completely shuttered we have no revenue coming in as, you just can’t curbside pick up or deliver live music to your doorstep. The people who scan your tickets, catch you in the barricade, make the room sound bold and crisp, pour you a beverage, and create those onstage memories, are all without jobs. In addition with no concerts, there is no revenue, yet venues still have monthly bills to pay.

We have joined the National Independent Venue Association (NIVA), a group of more than 1,200 independent music venues and promoters in all 50 states, to collectively urge Congress to help protect our industry by providing the financial support that is necessary for us to survive the shutdown and reopen once again.

Please join us and support our cause by calling and writing our Senators and Representatives today.

Yell it, scream it, clap your hands, and pound your feet like you’re calling the band back for an encore! Please help us ensure we survive by using your voice now (and tell a friend or 100 friends!). #SaveOurStages
