For the first time, we are broadcasting a live mini-concert on the I Heart Local Music facebook page.
When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, many iconic locations in Lawrence had to shut their doors to the public. That included historic spaces like museums and art galleries. With these iconic buildings now sitting empty, I Heart Local Music decided to team up with local musicians to highlight the beauty and caliber of these spaces.
On Tuesday, July 28th, at 4:00 p.m., watch live as musicians perform under the grandiose architecture within those walls as they utilize them for personal stages. We'll see the inside of Watkins Museum of History, Robert J Dole Institute of Politics, Lawrence Arts Center, and the Carnegie Building, Lawrence, KS. Performances by:
Alex Kimball Williams
We'll also provide links on how you can keep supporting these important Lawrence locations, and the musicians playing inside them, during the pandemic.
